Facts:  Joe & Mary own Blackacre Farm.  Over the years they have become completely estranged from their three children Peter, Paul and Veronica.  During that time, Timothy, a local young man, has worked on the farm to help Joe & Mary even into their old age.  Sometimes Timothy did chores without any pay, but he did it to help keep the farm running.  As a result, Joe & Mary told Timothy that, "because our children have all gone away and you have been so faithful when we die the farm will become yours."

Discussion Question:  Is the promise that Joe & Mary made to Timothy valid?  Will Timothy be able to get the Farm? What should Timothy ask Joe & Mary for to protect his rights? What will happen if Peter, Paul or Veronica return to claim the property for themselves?
