Again, you may use material from lecture and from the textbook, but you may not use any additional outside sources. QuestionsYour Paper Should Answer: First, listen to the oral history. I'd suggest listening while reading the PDF transcript of the interview so you can keep track of who it is that is talking (the PDF is in the modules). Then, write a short essay that answers the following prompt: - Using this oral history as evidence, what was it like for these women to live through the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression? What areas of the United States did the Dust Bowl affect? What were their lives like? What were their towns like? What kinds of social divisions existed? How did their lived experience in the Dust Bowl affect their lives? What lessons did the women learn through living through the Dust Bowl that they applied to later stages of their lives? (Le. money, entertainment, etc.) Please structure your essay so that you have an introduction with a clear thesis statement that makes your argument, 3 specic examples from the interview, and a short conclusion. All cited material needs to come from the oral history, the textbook (American Yawp), or my lectures (Weldon Lecture, Date). NO OUTSIDE MATERIAL MAY BE USED.
