In 2010, Pepsi Refresh Project, as a cause marketing program, apparently didn't help PepsiCo. to achieve a for-profit company's objective to increase sales; nor did it help to change PepsiCo's brand image as a social-friendly company then. Instead, it induced lots of backlashed voice from the consumers who perceived the Refresh Project as inauthentic/inconsistent.
However, Grameen Danone Foods Ltd., founded as a social business, seemed to be more successful to contribute to the society and fulfill its objective "to be profitable to ensure economic sustainability".
