Could some one help me with a reply to my class mate post

Here is the question: In the second set of readings this week, we look at how companies who act ethically can not only help increase their bottom line, but also help to make the world a better place. Think of and identify one, or two, companies that meet the goals set forth in the readings. How do they meet these goals? Do they achieve these goals to truly make the world a better place, or do they do so only with the idea of helping to increase their profits? Make sure you support your answers.

Here is their response

Target is a good example of a company that meets the goals set forth in the readings such as sustaining initiative and ethical practices. Early this year, Target developed five new strategies for their commitment to sustainability in how they protect the plant, support their communities, and invest in the future of their company. Finding better packing options-eliminating expanded form packaging, sourcing from sustainably managed forests, adding how2recycle labels on merchandise-lets consumers know how to properly dispose of packaging, supporting the recycling partnership-curbside recycling, and creating more demand for recycled packaging-the idea that all packaging will be recyclable one day, (Target, 2017) are the strategies that Target has developed to help to consumers and society as a whole. As a leader in design, we can use our expertise to create more sustainable packaging options for our guests and help deliver products that are both better-for-you and better for the environment, (Target, 2017). Based on this reasoning it is safe to assume that the strategies Target has developed demonstrate their goals for the company to truly make a difference and make the world a better place. These goals show Targets initiative of taking corporate social responsibility and ethical actions to help make the world a better place. I do not think they are doing so with the idea of helping to increase their profits, considering Target is one of the most popular retailers in the world. To ensure these strategies are successful, it will require a lot of investment and resources from Target which will ultimately cost the company money. If a company is taking these steps to truly make a difference in the world, they are not so much doing so to increase their profits but to instead support their consumers and community.
