Change group ownership.

Create an empty file called, lab8.txt.

Execute the command and attach the screen shot.

Write the group name for the file, lab8.txt

Change the group ownership of the file, lab8.txt to users.

Run the command and attach the screen shot.

Write the owner of the file, lab8.txt.

Change the ownership of a file, lab8.txt to user, jane

Run the command and attach the screen shot.

Change permission of a file using Absolute mode

Create an empty file, order.txt.

Show the permission for the order.txt file and write user, group and other permission in absolute mode.

Remove write permission for owner and keep group and other permission the same. Write the permission in absolute mode.

Execute the command and attach the screen shot.

Change file, order.txt permission using symbolic mode.

Use the symbolic mode to change the file, order.txt to the following restrictions:

Remove read, write, and execute for others add write permission for group

Execute the command in symbolic mode and attach the screen shot.
