COVID-19 has seriously disrupted the supply chain

The COVID-19 outbreak which began at the turn of 2020 has disrupted first Mainland China and now global supply chains, resulting in a dismal local trading performance. As the COVID-19 pandemic turns into a global crisis, countries are taking measures such as social distancing, locking down city, shutting down city, and circuit breaker, to contain the pandemic. Many industries such as maritime shipping industry, air transport industry, freight forwarding industry, hospitality industry, and department stores are already reporting slowdown because of facility closures, social distancing campaign, and logistics hurdles could disrupt the supply chains in the short to medium terms. At the same time, COVID-19 however creates increased demand in certain industries such as packaged goods such as food, beverage, food delivery, sanitary masks, and cleaning products. The attack of COVID-19 to the operations of local, regional, and global supply chain of many industries could not be minimized in the short run.

Assuming you are an independent consultant hired by a leading global logistics service provider organization (such as global express delivery, global air cargo carrier, global shipping lines, global forwarder, global distributors, or other logistics service firm) to prepare short term (1-2 months) & medium (2 to 12 months) strategies and measures in response to the widespread of COVIT-19 worldwide.
