Perform the following tasks using the attached file undergradsurvey.xlsx.

  1. Create a bar chart for the "Computer" variable. What are your conclusions?
  2. Create a pie chart for the "Major" variable. What are your conclusions?
  3. Construct a side-by-side bar chart with "Gender" on the x-axis and "Employment" on the vertical axis. Do men have different employment statuses than women do?
  4. Construct a histogram for the "GPA" variable. Use classes starting at 2.2 and ending at 4.0 in increments of 0.3. Interpret the histogram including its shape. What is a typical GPA?
  5. Prepare a crosstabulation of the data on "Grad Intention" (do they intend to go to graduate school?) and "Employment". What are your conclusions?
  6. Construct a scatterplot of "GPA" vs. "Salary" (expected salary upon graduation). Is there a relationship between GPA and salary? What type of relationship exists, if any? How strong is the relationship?
