Countries A and B are both WTO (also GATT) members. Country A has a strong organic free range egg industry and has recently passed a law allowing farm owners to import poultry feeds from foreign countries where there is no Halal Certification Body. The egg industry in country A has publicly stated that it wishes to import poultry feeds from any country if they can offer a competitive price so that the price of the eggs remains reasonable, and Halal certification is not a priority. Based on this news, country B, one of the largest consumers of country A's eggs passed a new law prohibiting importing and selling of eggs from any egg industries that will fail to produce Halal certificate for total production line of their eggs. This embargo affected country A heavily since they did not want to comply with the legislation of country B. Country A wishes to export their organic free range eggs into country B.
Construct your arguments and show if country A can successfully challenge country B's import ban under the WTO rules.
