Countries are different, in political systems, economic systems and levels, technological levels, and social structure/cultural norms, etc. etc. Politically, there are democracies, authoritarian dictatorship (left-wing, right-wing theocratic, and tribal), with ideologies tend to be more individualistic or collectivistic. Economically, countries fall somewhere on a continuum with Command economy (socialism where the state own everything and controls all economic activities like North Korea and Cuba) on the one end and free market economy (with no interference from the government) on the other (there is no such a country in the world). Socially, some countries have more rigid social strata with low mobility (Caste in India is probably the most rigid. Officially now abandoned, but lingers on). Social norms are often influenced by a nation's history, religion, and culture. Technologically, some countries lag behind. These factors have impact on companies' operations in a foreign soil
