I don't feel different from those with disabilities; I can sense and understand them, even though they are born differently from what we see physically, but what they feel is the same as a normal person; people all over the world are born different and unique; some people are born normal and wealthy, but they act as if they own the world; they are rude and racist. Some people are born normal, yet they go on to commit serial murders, rapes, robberies, and other heinous crimes. This sort of conduct struck me as a disability. Be yourself when conversing with someone who has a handicap, just as you would with anybody else. In my words or actions, I will not be condescending. And I'll never ask a question that a person without a handicap would not ask. Not everyone with a condition wants to talk about his/her special limits or disability. 1. Is this the type of behavior that you have encountered or seen before? During my elementary and high school years, I witnessed a lot of bullies tormenting and harassing kids with disabilities. I know that those bullies don't comprehend the issue with disabilities yet, and I feel those bullies have a mental problem even if they are physically normal. But, I have never encountered such behaviors in the workplace. Discrimination in human rights acts is a great benefit and protects individuals with disabilities. 2. How would you react if any of these circumstances were done to you? This is not acceptable if any of these things happen to me. I'd have the impression that I'm indispensable at work, which might have an impact on my productivity. But I will fight to preserve my rights and equality since I believe it really is our right to work in a workplace free of discrimination and harassment.
