CPD501 Job Ad Summary - 5%

Instructions: Research on the web for a job advertisement that is current (posted within the last month), relevant to your field of office administration (medical, legal or executive), and appropriate to your qualifications and experience. Then, create a Word document containing the following outcomes:

1. What are the key words in this job advertisement? Generate a list of allthe key words. Then, provide a second list containing all the key words you want to try and incorporate into your resume and cover letters. (Some key words may not be related to you, so do not try and use all of them if they are not relevant.)

1. Since you will be (hypothetically) applying to this job ad, you need to find out who and what you will be addressing your cover letter to. Provide the name of the company, their complete mailing address, and the name of the person to whom you will be addressing your cover letter to along with their appropriate title (Mr., Dr., Ms., etc.).

This may require you to send out an email or make a phone call to the business inquiring about this information. It may result in being informed to send it to "Human Resources" instead of a name. That is fine.

Upon completion, you will upload two items to BlackBoard: a copy of the job ad as well as your Job Ad Summary Word document.
