Create a response post to the following post at the bottom.
This is a conflict resolution course, and we are going to use this opportunity to engage in constructive conflict. Theconcern is not the resolution, but the process. You are required to post substantial response posts. The substantial posts mustinclude the following:
1. A direct challenge to a peer's initial post. The challenge can consist of:
- Explaining why the theory is weak and heavily limited
- Demonstrate that there is a better theory out there in the literature to explain the same phenomenon
- Illustrate how the theory does not apply in the real world
- Get creative in your challenges
2. Empirical support and justification
- Do not simply say a post is bad. Articulate why it is bad or why the theory is not a good theory
- Even if you agree with the theory, play devil's advocate and argue the other side!
3. Provide an alternative solution
- Describe an alternative solution to explain the social phenomenon
- Class, this is the beauty of a theory! As long as you accurately describe what the theory is and explain it... I will be grading you on your ability to justify your arguments with empirical support

Social learning theory was designed that gender roles are based upon the communication and monitoring of the behaviors of others of the same and different genders, the theory backing that those gender influences are reinforced by society. The practical application of this theory is that women and men are able to communicate, however, there are key differences when behaviors and conflict arise. The limitations of the theory note that those who feel connected to the opposite gender would inevitably become transgender, and in my opinion gender is fluid and could not be as black and white as this theory states (Gonzalez-Salzberg & Perisanidi, 2021).
This theory has the ability to understand that conflict between the sexes is just as common as within the sexes, however, a new study found that women and men in the workplace, offices and corporate settings in particular, are more likely to be found to disagree and have conflict within the organization than those in jobs where power is clearly stated by the ladder of command (Li & Shang, 2023). In this theory, I have the notion that if a conflict arises between sexes, then gender becomes an issue in the conflict, however, if the people are the same gender, then the gender of the person is ruled as less important in the conflict, however, is still a noted part. This theory has an interesting place in the workplace today as gender becomes understood to be fluid and has less to do with how a person behaves in the workplace.
