Cashier enters phone number into Point of Sale (POS) system

POS System looks up phone number

o If the phone number exists in the POS system, it displays customer information

Cashier greets customer by name

o If the POS system does not know the phone number, it displays form for cashier to enter new customer information

Cashier enters new customer information into POS system

Cashier asks for order

Customer describes order to cashier

Cashier enters order into POS system

o *POS system sends order to cook

Cook prepares food

Cook gives food to delivery driver

o *POS system displays total price

Cashier tells customer the total cost

Customer prepares money

Delivery driver delivers food

Customer pays and receives order

* These two activities occur at the same time.

HINT: depict only the activities that are described above. In real life, this process would require more activities, like choosing delivery versus pickup, credit card payment versus check or cash, etc. I have simplified this on purpose in order to emphasize the various pieces of an Activity Diagram without turning it into a large project.
