There is an explosion in a nearby industrial complex and a strong smell of smoke in the air
A flood occurs in the community and the ECE site is not flooded, but is inaccessible
A snow blizzard causes impassable roads in the late afternoon
A car accident occurs involving a family in front of the program site
A two-year-old child chokes on a piece of a broken toy during indoor play
A toddler falls off the playground structure and is unconscious
A violent confrontation of teen gang members occurs on a street adjacent to the program site
The plan must include the following:
- written procedures for accounting for children and adults
- how children will be transported
- communication plan to include staff, families, and necessary first responder personnel
- how the program will meet the nutritional and health needs of the children
- relocation and reunification plan
- emergency telephone numbers
- evacuation diagrams
- date of last revision of the Plan
- needs of children who are non-mobile and with special needs
