Section 317 makes it an offence to cause a substance (s 317(1)(e)) to be taken by another person with intent to disable them (s 317(1)(a)). If this conduct were to cause death would it be murder or voluntary manslaughter?

The title of the provision is 'Acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm' and an act intended to cause gbh which causes death is murder.

But if intent extended only to an intention to disable (s 317(1)(a)) would it not be unlawful violent act involuntary manslaughter?
