Crisis for HR: CHR 1

At the senior levels of Human Resources many crisis's will present themselves from executives rapidly trying to disavow themselves from behavior gone badly. Often, they will look for someone to blame - and yes, they will pretend it is all on someone else's responsibility and be careful - if you hold up your hand they will be happy to blame you! A major role of Human Resources is to make certain problems are investigated and laws, policies, and procedures are followed. It is also to have common sense as to how they are followed as well. Regardless, people are human and human make mistakes - even when they might not admit to them!

This can be completed as either a group project or you can choose to individual project.

1. What are the main points in the information presented for you to consider whether or not sexual harassment occurred? (see Article 1: ABC Disney Sexual Harassment Claims."
2. ABC published a report on sexual harassment (see Article 2: "ABC News Report on What sexual harassment is and what to do about it"). Did ABC News follow the guidelines they issued to the public?
3. What federal or state laws should be considered in this case? Did ABC News/Disney violate the law in your opinion?
4. Provide a paragraph or more on your thoughts on this case. Include if you felt it was well dealt with by ABC News. Also, what would you have done differently.
