Given below is a network topology that needs an addressing scheme and complete configuration so that there is

end to end connectivity. Using the addressing space of $172\mathrm{.}20\mathrm{.}50\mathrm{.}0/16,$ you are required to use it and subnet the

address to cater for the network. All addresses must be given in decimal form.

You will need to perform the following tasks:

$1.$ Identify the number of subnets in the topology given.

$2.$ Calculate the new subnet mask.

$3.$ Calculate the number of hosts in each subnet.

$4.$ Complete the table for each subnet: $($add rows as needed$)$

$6.$ Start from subnet $0$ and assign addresses as follows:

c$.$ Pcs $$ can have any address within the subnet.

$7.$ Router configuration for all routers. Document the configurations.

Late Submission

Start EARLY. Also when you finish don$$t hold on to your assignment till the last moment. Submit as soon as you

are satisfied with it$.$

Marks will be deducted on daily basis if submitted late. $5\%$ per day of the marks received. However, you must

notify the lecturer through an email or verbally communicate the reasons for delay. Medical sick leaves will not

be catered for assignment delays unless you can prove with a valid medical sick sheet that you were admitted

throughout the period of submission. For example, if the assignment is supposed to be submitted on $2$nd April,

then it must be submitted before midnight. If your submission is after midnight, then you lose $5\%$ of the marks

received.
