CST4812 - Natural Language Processing Final Project Project Description: The finat project is open ended. You may complete this either as an individual or as a group with up to two total nenbers. The purpose of the projectlis to use PyTorch to inplenent any project invelving an N.P task and a neural network. For most tasks, I would prefer that you use sote variation of a recurrent neural network or transformers, but I an open to other sorts of architectures if you think something else eakes sense for your project. The task can be something that we have covered, or will cover, in class, but it does not have to be: You should test your inpletentation on a dataset and rroport the results. You are allowed to create a dataset, but it will be much easfer if you find one. Kaggle, for example, has plenty of open source datasets for in problens for you to leverage. Some possible project Ideas are: - Neural Machine Translation - Sentiment Analysis - pos tageing - Text Generation - Text Sumarization - Question-inswering Systens Feel free to choose a task from the above 1ist, or explore something not mentioned. You may notice that sone of these tasks reseoble other assignents frce this semester: You are free to use your past assienients as a resource, but i enpect you to submit something new with this project. I do not just want to see a past assignent resubaitted as your subeission for this project. When you have completed your project, submit a sHoRT writeup (the to two dages) explaining: - what task did you work on? - What dataset did you use? - hour was the dataset 3plit thido trainife, turing, and testing portions? - What architectures and other variables did you experiment with? - Simarize the rewules of the thines that were varied. - What sere the setcines somed for the final network? - wenat were the final resulta for the test set?
