1. Briefly tell us about yourself and why you want to be an educational diagnostician? 2. How do you establish working relationships in a new position? 3. How would you handle a situation where you are the educational diagnostician and you reversed the numbers in scoring the assessment and declared the student ineligible for special education during the ARD meeting. The teachers strongly questioned, but you stood firm. Upon rechecking, you learned you were wrong. What do you do? 4. What are some special considerations that make students appear as learning disabled when there are other factors causing the academic difficulty? We screen for many of these before testing. Share as many of these conditions or exclusionary factors. 5. You have evaluated a student who does not meet eligibility criteria for special education, yet your principal insists that the student needs help and asks you to find a way. How do you respond? 6. A special education teacher comes to you because the principal is requiring all teachers to attend a STAAR/EOC meeting, yet she teaches young students and believes she should not attend.
