A method of connecting the FAT32 drive and the drive created in Hands-On Project 3-1 to your workstation, such as USB, FireWire, external SATA, or internal connections, such as PATA or SATA . A review of the Acquiring Data with dd in Linux' and "Validating dd-Acquired Data'sections Follow these steps: 1. Make sure you've connected the drive you prepared in Hands-On Project 3-1 to your Linux workstation. Start your workstation, if necessary, and log on to Linux or boot the Linux Live CD. Reboot the Linux system, and make the da acquisition, following the steps in "Acquiring 2. 3. d in Linux. For the aplit -b command, make the segmented size 30m, and use the a switch to create numeric extensions for each segmented file. 4.
