Daling and colleagues (1994) suggest that the cases who were unable to be interviewed because of more serious illness or death would be more likely to have had an induced abortion because some research links induced abortion to more aggressive cancer with a poor prognosis. This would result in the interviewed cases having a lower prevalence of induced abortion. Is this selection bias? What would be the effect of such bias?
