Data Analysis Report

Description:

Create a data analysis report on a data set that is related to your major area of study or your work. You will need to find a real data set, study the data, analyze the data, and present the analysis result.

You will need to submit a report that includes the following: (100')

1.A cover page that shows the project name, course number, semester, instructor's name, your name and date. (5')

2.Description of the data set.

a.What is your area of study or work? What is the data about? Your data must be related to your area of study or your work. (5')

b.Where does the data come from? (5')

c.Your data must be real and must be large enough to support the analysis. (5')

3.Description of the analysis.

a.Perform at least one univariate analysis, at least one multivariate analysis (finding the R value) and one regression analysis (finding the equation, R square value and perform a prediction). (30')

b.For each type of analysis, describe what question you are trying to answer with this analysis and what result you can draw from the analysis. (15')

c.Describe the steps or methods on how the data are selected, analyzed or summarized. (15')

4.Charts

a.For each type of analysis, you must use at least one chart to visualize or support your result. If your multivariate or regression analysis uses the same columns, you only need one chart for the multivariate and the regression analysis. (15')

5. Submit a WORD document (with the cover page) and the spreadsheet with data and the analysis. (5')
