Dave is a rookie police officer with three weeks on the job. He is assigned to a walking post in the Downtown Shopping Area and, at the end of the shift, two police officers pull up to him offering a ride back to headquarters. He accepts and jumps into the back of the vehicle. Upon their arrival the officers leave the vehicle with Dave locked in the back figuring that the cops on the next shift will get a good laugh when they find him. Since the vehicle is scheduled for repairs the next morning it is not assigned and Dave remains locked in the car until the next day.
