David Mason is the manager of the Finance/Accounts Department of Marcadian which has the following six employees: two (2) administration officers - Ellen and Dianne one (1) receptionist - Rachael three (3) accounts clerks - Helen, John and Kelly At a recent meeting, all team members expressed some confusion about WHS legal responsibilities of the company and themselves at work. In particular Kelly, a new employee who completed an induction two weeks ago, now feels that she needs to become better acquainted with WHS policies and procedures. In addition, David has observed that a certain degree of complacency has set in with some work practices and attitudes by a couple of staff members. David identifies that he must relay accurate and current information to his employees about the following: Relevant provisions of WHS legislation and codes of practice that are relevant to the workgroups. WHS policies, procedures and programs, ensuring it is readily accessible by the workgroup. Regularly provide and clearly explain information about identified hazards and the outcomes of risk assessment and control to the workgroup
