DB: Overcommitment

Think of a time when either you, someone you know, or someone you read about committed to someone or something (like an organization) and ended up acting against their values. Address the following in your initial post:

• Briefly describe the situation and what the person's, or your commitment was.
• Describe what action you/they took, why you/they took it, and how it went against your/their values.
• Knowing what you know now how would you have handled the situation differently?
• Why is it important for leaders to identify when a commitment has become detrimental?
