Debbie is a florist and operates a floral shop called "bloomers." Debbie is quite good at making creative centerpieces to plan on tables at wedding receptions. Knowing that Jone is always a popular month for weddings, she placed the following advertisement in the local newspaper on May 31: "Bloomers is offering a one month special on the purchase of table centerpieces for the month of June. We will create and provide table centerpieces for your wedding reception for the low price of $10 per center piece! Call this number for more information."

Pete saw the advertisement. Since he was planning his daughters wedding reception to take place on June 25 he called the number on June 3 and spoke with Debbie. In the course of the conversation Pete said, " your pieces are very affordable!" "That's true!" Replied Debbie, "we have the best prices in town ." Pete then said "I am planning a wedding reception on June 25. I am not sure how many people will be attending. I will need atleast 10th tee pieces, and possibly as many as 20." Debbie replied, " we can provide those for you as long as you let me know within the next two weeks." Pete replied: I'll let you know within two weeks."

On June 6 Debbie learned that her supplier of flowers was experiencing an unexpected shortage of flowers due to an infestation of Beatles in their fields, and would not be able to fill orders for flowers for the remainder of the month of June. She came to the conclusion that she would be unable to agree to supply centerpieces for the remainder of the month of June. On June 7 Debbie took out a second advertisement in the local newspaper, which stated the following: "Bloomers is no longer able to honor its June centerpiece special. Please contest us for your July floral needs."

On June 12 Pete called Debbie and told her that he was counting on 10 table centerpieces for his daughter reception. "Didn't you see the June 7th ad?" Said Debbie. "What ad?" Replied Pete. When Debbie describe the June 7 at Pete replied, "that is unacceptable! I have 100 guests coming to the reception on June 25 and I need 10 centerpieces for the 10 tables that will be at the reception." Debbie apologized, but said she would be unable to provide Pete with the centerpieces. Does Pete have an enforceable contract with Debbie?
