define descriptive statistics is the branch of quantitative analysis that uses numerical metrics and graphs and charts to describe a data set so that we can realize the information in that data. There are a wide variety of these numerical and graphical tools measuring what is called central tendency, dispersion and shape. (See my help aids post for the range of these tools.) Describe and discuss why there are so many of these metrics. Do you use any of these in your work?

One of the more used and useful parts of descriptive statistics is using graphs and charts to display data and make information easier to see and understand. Do you use graphs and charts at work or at home? If so, what kind of graphics do you use?

Some of the most commonly used graphs are the so called "big five" - pie charts, column charts, bar charts, line charts and XY charts (scatter charts). But there are many other graphics that we use. Two parts here - one: do you use any of the big five? And two, are there any other types of charts and tables which you use or see being used at work or at home?

Classify the statement as an example of classical probability, empirical probability, or subjective probability. Explain your reasoning. In a particular country, studies have shown that the probability of a marriage ending in divorce is 0.52 Choose the correct answer below. O A. Subjective probability because each outcome in the sample space is equally likely, O B. Empirical probability because the probability is based on observations obtained from a probability experiment. O C. Classical probability because each outcome in the sample space is equally likely. O) D. Empirical probability because the probability results from an estimate. O'E. Classical probability because the probability is based on observations obtained from a probability experiment. OF. Subjective probability because the probability results from an estimate.2.) You will be creating 4 graphs using Excel (Excel Examples are under Excel Examples folder on blackboard). Make sure you label the graphs by what it is representing. a. For the Pareto, you need to make a new table where the frequencies are in descending order. Highlight the two columns and insert a 2-D column graph. 2-D Column 3-D Column
