Delight in the law of the Lord

"Teach me, O LORD, the way of Thy statutes, and I shall observe it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may observe Thy law and keep it with all my heart. Make me walk in the path of Thy commandments, for I delight in it. Incline my heart to Thy testimonies, and not to dishonest gain. Turn away my eyes from looking at vanity, and revive me in Thy ways. Establish Ty word to Thy servant, as that which produces reverence for Thee. Turn away my reproach which I dread, for Thine ordinances are good. "The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom and with all your acquiring get understanding. Prize her, and she will exalt you; She will honor you if you embrace her. She will place on your head of garland of grace; She will present you with a crown of beauty.... When you walk, your steps will not be impeded; and if you run, you will not stumble. We live in a world and even a country with flawed laws and corrupt businesses and individuals. However, by going beyond knowledge, embracing understanding, and acquiring wisdom, we can be leaders right where God has placed us and bring Him glory. I have found myself very grateful that our country's laws were built from a foundation that originated from God's laws. Although man's laws are flawed and continued to stray from the foundation, it helps that they did originate from Scripture. By going back to God's Word and studying His laws and keeping them as our primary focus, we can be better leaders and businessmen.
