Dennis T Menace was raised and lives in Lakebay, Washington. Last summer, after graduating magna cum laude from the University of Washington, Dennis went to work for Mr. Wilson in Vacaville, California. Mr. Wilson was born in California and has lived there his whole life. Mr. Wilson spends most of his time in his laboratory. Toward the end of the summer, Dennis and Mr. Wilson had a heated disagreement over Mr. Wilson's daughter Margaret. Mr. Wilson is very protective of his daughter and did not like the way Dennis looked at her. The next week Mr Wilson fired Dennis. Dennis was in love with Margaret. He tried for several months to find another job in California but had no success. Dennis decided it was best to go home, find a job and, save his money and then ask Margret to marry him.

A month after returning home to Lakebay, there was a knock at Dennis 's front door. Dennis opened the door and there, to his surprise, stood Mr. Wilson. Before Dennis could say a word, Mr. Wilson punched Dennis in the nose. "That's for stealing my daughter's heart!" bellowed Mr. Wilson. The blow on the nose caused Dennis to lose his balance. Unfortunately, Dennis fell against the rough/sharp edge of the fireplace mantel. Part of the mantle broke off, pierced Dennis's face and his left eye. Dennis was rushed to the hospital. Dennis spent two weeks in the Critical Care Unit and another six weeks in recovery. The doctors told Dennis that he would never be able to see out of his left eye and that he would need to undergo a series of reconstructive surgeries to repair the damage to his face. Fortunately, there was no injury to his brain. The doctors told Dennis that he could go back to work as soon as the reconstructive surgeries were complete. They thought this process should take about six more months.

After his discharge from the hospital, Dennis met with his attorney, Alice Mitchell Esq. Alise was one of the best litigators in the state of Washington. Alice was also Dennis' only cousin and best friend. Alice, on behalf of Dennis, filed a lawsuit against Mr. Wilson for assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Dennis is seeking $1,250,000 in damages. Dennis' lawsuit was filed in the Federal District Court for Western Washington.
