For other cultures, adaptability and commitment are highly valued. Such is the case of Vietnamese culture. A saying that the Vietnamese adhere to states: "Cane is flexible and survives storms, Oak is hard and strong, but falls." Research and examine Hofstede's six cultural dimensions. As a leader, why is it important to recognize and understand how the relationship between leaders and followers can be affected by each of these dimensions? Is it the responsibility of leaders and/or followers to adapt?
