Describe a job you have or had in the past where you were very satisfied? Briefly describe the job and if management was responsible for your satisfaction. Did you or have you ever had a job where you were unsatisfied? Can you pinpoint reasons for your unhappiness and is/was there anything management could have done about this? If you have not had these experiences, come up with a fictitious scenario(s) and describe why in your proposed scene(s) are employees happy or unhappy and suggest a way(s) to fix the problem.

I'm currently a Senior Administrative Support Assistant at Northwell Health in Port Jefferson and I've been in this company for a little over 2 years.

  • Ipromote the department goals by motivating, and training capable team members.
  • Prioritizes, schedules, assigns, and monitors work to optimize operational service.
  • Composes confidential correspondence, reports, and related documents. Always attentive to the HIPA rules.
  • Analyze Profit & Loss report.
  • Create schedules for Administrative Assistants and Medical Assistants.
  • Managing physician schedules and creating slots to maximize efficiency.

I am satisfied with the company, because I feel that I have a lot of career opportunities, since I'm close to get my second promotion in two years and become a Lead Administrative Coordinator. I work on a variety of tasks every day, have one on one meeting monthly and Northwell is also partially paying for my MBA in Healthcare Management, which makes me feel valued.

When I first came to the United States, my first job was at CVS Health and I was an Shift Supervisor.

  • Led the store, ensured that store operations ran smoothly, and was responsible for ensuring the completion of all opening and closing procedures.
  • Supervised the store's crew through assigning, directing, and following up of all activities.
  • Assisted customers with their questions, problems, and complaints.
  • Worked as a cashier.
  • Supported the planning, execute the displays, sign, and inventory of weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.

I only stayed in this company for 6 months because I was hired for a full time position, but in my first week I was told that everybody only work 25 hours per week, our cashiers did not stay for more than 2 months, so I had to work as a cashier everyday and had to sell Carepass and had to sell at least 3 memberships everyday, but on top of all of it, I also had to clean the patients bathroom, unload the truck and vacuum the whole stop. Unfortunately, it was a high stress environment and a complete lack of support from my manager. I've been through a lot in that job but I believe that it made me value even more my current position at Northwell and always learn new things to develop my career and personal life.
