Each student will be required to prepare a comprehensive 25-to-30-minute narrated presentation involving detailed research to explore a topic in more depth and assess various approaches and controversies given in a case provided by the professor.
Students are interested in being hired as consultants to the management of the organization and have been asked to diagnose the problem and to recommend a plan for solving it.
Students are required to demonstrate the use of principles and theory drawn from the course and conduct research to answer the case questions given within the case steps provided.
The presentation must contain 20-25 PowerPoint slides and appropriate APA sources on each slide and a reference list at the end of the presentation. Ten outside sources beyond the textbook must be used.Do not use sources more than five years old.

Case Analysis Methodology and Steps for Seminar
Each student MUST use the following steps ONCE throughout the presentation. Treat the case questions as information that should be included in your presentation. Include the information within the steps if it flows logically within your analysis. Use the step titles as the headings separating out the sections of your presentation.
Step 1: Introduction/Identify Issues
Determine the issues or symptoms that need to be most immediately addressed. Consider the causes of these issues.Clearly state the main problems faced. What specifically is the decision to be made within the context of the case. Be sure to specifically differentiate between the problems and their symptoms.
Step 2: Provide Background Information
Summarize key information from the case scenario that relates to your stated issues in step 1. Describe the background of the company and/or situation to set the context for the analysis.
Step 3: Analyze the Issues
Analyze the case based on the provided questions. Demonstrate a thorough analysis by applying course concepts to discuss the case questions.
Step 4: Develop and Analyze the Alternatives
Brainstorm ideas that may solve your stated problem. Come up with 3 or 4 viable alternatives to be evaluated. Evaluate each of the alternatives generated. Your goal is to figure out the best solution to the main problems in the case. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of each alternative in terms of solving your stated problems. Use human resource management models, theories, or criteria for evaluating each alternative. Determine the most appropriate method for evaluating each alternative, depending on the case study you are analyzing.
Step 5: Make Recommendations
Based on your evaluation in step 4, choose the alternative(s) to recommend and explain why this is the best solution.
Step 6: Create Action Plan/Conclusion
Explain how you will implement your recommendation(s) in an action plan that states who should do what, when, and how. Ensure you include a timeline of dates for the action plan
