Business Setting of the Required Database

The global shipping company wants a database to automate some of

its core business processes. The company takes orders to ship the

vehicles such as cars, boats, trailers, heavy equipment, etc. of their customers

via a seaport of Canada to international port destinations across the globe.

The vehicles are shipped in containers.

Data has to be represented about the customers, the vehicles to be shipped

belonging the customers, invoices to be sent to the customers to pay for

shipping, seaport destinations around the world, and rates for each kind of

vehicle for shipping to each port.

The Company has many customers. One customer can place many orders.

One order is about shipping one vehicle to one seaport destination. For each

Order, there is one invoice issued for the customer.

Each type of vehicle can be sent to many international seaports (but not to all

ports). Each international port can receive many types of vehicles (but not all).
