Design a ladder diagram for the control of the Automatic Mixer shown in Fig. 1. The reservoir in the diagram is filled with a fluid, agitated for a length of time, and then emptied. (1) When push the START pushbutton on the operating panel, valve V1 opens and the tank starts filling up with water. (2) When the reservoir fills up, water level goes up and reaches the level set by a sensor S1. Valve V1 closes and mixer motor start to operate for a length of time of 5 s. (3) After 5 s , the mixer motor switched off and the valve V2, is opened which empties the tank. When the tank is empty, the sensor S2 closes the valve V2 and turn-on a lamp that indicates end of a cycle. Pressing the START pushbutton places the system in the ready position for the next manual start.
