Design of a boost converter with current feedback and a PI compensator. In some applications, it is desired to control the converter input terminal current waveform. The boost converter system of Fig. 1 contains a feedback loop which causes the converter input current ig(t) to be proportional to a reference voltage vref(t). The feedback connection is a current sense circuit having gain H(s) = 0.2 volts per ampere. A conventional pulse width modulator circuit is employed, having a sawtooth waveform with peak-peak amplitude of VM = 3 V. The quiescent values of the inputs are: Vg = 120 V, Vref = 2 V. All elements are ideal
