Despite actively pursuing a major in Business Administration and minor in Japanese, I have decided that upon receiving my degree, I will pivot to pursuing my master's in Transportation Management. It is my goal to eventually attain a management position with BART as chief executive so I can then begin expanding BART to the rest of the greater Bay Area as was initially intended during its conception. My current position at my job is as a program leader for Redwood City Parks and Recreation. My job is very forward-facing in the same way my future career aspirations are. In general, I feel like I'm getting good experience now that will help me in my future career endeavor. I would ideally like to first get an internship with a transportation authority like MUNI, but preferably BART. This is so I can begin getting experience that will later enhance my prospects as a candidate. I would additionally also like to have at least an entry-level position with BART upon graduating so I can begin cementing myself in the environment I want to be in.
