Industry Consultation is a project-based course that requires us to adopt a "systems thinking" approach to the current business issues facing hotel and tourism organizations. We are also asked to identify problems, determine context, and use evidence-based research and analysis to provide alternative courses of action and recommendations for the actual hospitality business. Through this course, we did two projects. One is to design a reasonable plan for the hotel lobby due to unnecessary space redesign and planning. For this report, the project called for the design and planning of the best use of some of the underutilized Spaces in the Delta Guelph Hotel. Another is to develop some strategies for future University of Guelph student-run restaurant Pj's that can be successfully implemented in the long and short term to bring in more foot traffic, reduce costs, and refocus on the University of Guelph's HTM 3090 Restaurant Operations Management course
