Develop a communication plan for a healthcare or related organization. Identify the program that can be offered to the external and internal stakeholders., for wellness clinic. You will then develop a plan to communicate this to them. A communication plan defines the approach that a program will use to communicate with its stakeholders. It helps ensure systematic information sharing and two-way communication.
There are nine steps that you will need to address in your plan. You will need to include all 9 elements and may have to specify for some steps, what you will do for the external stakeholders and internal stakeholders. The 9 elements are
- Identify your objectives -Sexual Health Clinics- Promoting general wellness
- Choose your target audiences- Youth & Elderly
- Design your key messages- Preventative and Education measures, HIV, HPV, Herpes, and Hepatitis, Signs and symptoms.
- Select your communication methods
- Plan for two-way communication
- Establish your time frame
- Draft a budget
- Implement the plan
- Monitor the results and look for ways to improve

Step 1: Identify your objectives
What is your purpose for communication key program messages? What do you want to accomplish?
- Which geographic areas do you want to receive your messages? (Are there any areas that should not receive the messages?)
Step 2: Choose your target audiences
Who needs to know details about your program? Be specific as possible-will these audiences help to achieve your objectives?)
Step 3: Design your key messages
- What are the key messages you want to communicate to each audience?
- It may help to ask yourself:
- What questions do people ask staff during field visits?
- What do people need to understand in order for the program to succeed?
- What would you want to know about the program if you lived in the community?
- Is there any information that should not be shared, given the context?
Step 4: Select your communication methods
- What methods will you use to communicate the messages to the target audience?
- How will each method work?
- Do the selected methods pose any risks to staff or community members?
Step 5: Plan for two-way communication
- Which of your communication methods allow dialogue with the community and opportunities for feedback?
- How will field staff collect and document feedback?
- How will program managers receive the feedback? How often?
- How will the program communicate its response to the community?
Step 6: Establish your time frame
- What are the key activities in your program? Which ones need to be preceded by information sharing?
- When will you share updates with the different audiences?
Step 7: Draft a budget
- What is your budget? Can costs be integrated into program budgets as the program budgets are developed?
- How much do you expect your plan will cost?
