This technology has been through extensive clinical trials and has been shown to be most effective for the treatment of gestational diabetes (a condition in which a woman without diabetes develops high blood sugar levels during pregnancy). Company representatives have recently participated in a medical tradeshow and have learned of a company in the process of developing a similar patch.
