Did you ever attend a presentation where the speaker used PowerPoint and did nothing but read the slides to you? I have, and my reaction was OMG, I can read!! I thought I was going to learn something other than watching the back of the speaker's head!
Have you ever heard the question: "How do you get to Carnegie Hall?" The answer--"Practice, practice, practice".(Links to an external site.) What this means, is that if you want to be the best, you have to practice. When you give a presentation, you MUST be prepared as well as practiced.
If you search the web, there are countless sites that have suggestions on how you can improve presentations using PowerPoint. The following site is one that I particularly like because it focuses on the speaker, not the application. Please review the following site and share with us your thoughts about them, and how you will benefit from them in the future.
