Dimensional models for the datasets:
1- the Star Schema for the CPI dataset
2- The Star Schema for the Wages datasetI got notes from my professor about my star schema diagrams, regarding the first diagram he said the following:
It seems like data dataset doesnt have the spending per month per location dimension, in this case you might need to add another attribute in the fact table
Its true that the table originally doesnt have the location dimension but I still dont understand what the comment means, how would I add another attribute in the fact table? What would the attribute be?
And for the second diagram:
Fact table: check the data and how numeric measures are reported, you might need multiple attributes.
What does that mean ? The dataset is very short and only has 3 dimensions ( time, salary, gender) how would I add attributes?? Based on what?
