Directions

In this milestone, you will first create a memo that outlines the investigation that you will conduct and a description of the problem you have been tasked with solving. Next, you will use the Data Analysis Checklist Template located in the Supporting Materials section to plan the steps required to understand the problem and gather the necessary data. You will be required to list the steps in the order your investigation should take place and explain the reasoning behind using those steps. For this milestone, you will complete the Checklist Investigation Steps and Data Sources sections only. In Milestone Two, due in Module Five, you will complete the Data Analysis section in the Data Analysis Checklist Template to record your research and preliminary investigation.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

A$.$ Problem statement: Compose a problem statement to identify the current business need.

B$.$ People analytics: Describe how people analytics can support problem solvins in an organization.

C$.$ Data types: Discuss the types of data that will be needed to solve the organizational problem

i$.$ Consider what types of data might be used in your investigation and why that data will be necessary.

Data Analytics Checklist

A$.$ Complete checklist: Organize a checklist that will be used to document the steps of an investigation using data.

i$.$ Consider the steps that will be followed to investigate the business need and the order in which the steps should be performed.

ii$.$ Discuss the rationale behind those steps and why the order of the steps was chosen

B$.$ Data sources: Identify the data resources $($internal and or external$)$ that will be used in the analy sis.
