Directions: Answer the following questions for each of the 10 incidents.

Assume that all employees have already been given a disciplinary oral warning for a

minor offense within the last two weeks, what type of discipline should be imposed for the offense? Explain.

Employee is caught stealing a new computer from the business.

Employee is caught misfiling correspondence relating to possible company merger.

Employee refuses to perform additional job duties assigned by the supervisor.

Employee is constantly 30 minutes late to work; states the problem is alarm clock.

Employee frequently comes in late from lunch on Fridays states reason is service at local restaurant, but supervisor smells alcohol on employees breath.

Employee refuses to wear safety glasses in designated areas when employee is just walking through areas to get to a staircase.

Employee enjoys telling off-color jokes about a supervisor. A new employee complains to his supervisor about sexual harassment.

After a car accident last year, this employee continues to take pain medication. However, the employees job performance has significantly fallen off from previous standards, and the employee frequently makes mistakes resulting in safety violations.

An employee constantly falls asleep at work desk. Their job consists of answering the phone, directing visitors to the correct office, and delivering mail to the correct personnel.

These two employees were caught throwing punches at each other in the companys parking lot after work. Assume that neither employee was injured, and that both admitted to fault. They were observed leaving work together and laughing about the incident that caused the fight.
