Discrimination occurs in the workplace. Promotion, demotion, assessment, and interview processes all involve discrimination. Discrimination is when someone is treated differently according to their race, age, religion, gender, or other characteristics. Discrimination in the workplace is unacceptable as it goes against the fundamental tenets of equality. Discrimination is evident during job interviews when candidates are hired based on factors such as age, gender, or religion. By promoting people based on discrimination, promotion and demotion actions perpetuate discrimination. If I were an employer, I would make an effort to stop discriminatory practices. In my capacity as an employer, I conduct interviews impartially. I will advocate them as an employer based on their knowledge and expertise.
