The stability strategy is almost a $$nothing is happening here$$ kind of a situation. The managers have been trained to look for challenges and give their best shot at meting them. Apparently it seems that in the stability phase managerial motivation may below. This assumption on part of the manger as well as other seems to stems from assuming stability as being as a no action phase. If motivation among manager is contingent upon the multitude of tasks their complexity than stability has much to offer. Stability is the phase of analytical reflection for decisions they embed the possibilities for future action.
