As we consider the causes of terrorism, take a moment to conceptualize the differences between "crime" and "terrorism." Take a second to explore this idea and contemplate the similarities and differences between these two social challenges.

• What are similarities between criminals and terrorists? What are differences?
• Can a terrorist also be a criminal? Can a criminal be a terrorist Why or why not?
