1. Prospecting: A salesperson can use Linkedin by uploading their "Activity" of what interests them and posting about their company, themselves and their accomplishments. This gives other salesmen an overview of what they are about and can lead to possible clientele.

2. Preparation: A salesperson can use Linkedin to discoverwhether their product or service will be of interest to potential customers they connect with. Their profile will show their experiences, achievements, and skills.

3. Preparation: Once the salesperson reviews the profile - achievements and skills- of the potential customers they will be able to address their objections and stand out from their competitors.

4. Approach: A salesperson can use LinkedIn to then message others who have connected or shared the same interest in the posts they have made about their company, services, or accomplishments. The approach can be made by asking a question to get the prospect interested.

5. Negotiation: A salesperson can use Linkedin to their advantage by seeing what their competitor or future customer has accomplished and experienced and can use that information from their profile during negotiations.
