Alan and Chris decide to visit an art museum in Placton. When in the museum, Chris is looking at his mobile phone screen while walking around and as a result stumbles and falls onto a priceless painting causing serious damage to it. Meanwhile, in the other section of the museum, Alan sees an ajar door, which has a sign "STAFF ONLY". On the table Alan sees a pretty figurine. He really likes it and thinks this would be a lovely present for his mum's upcoming birthday. While nobody is looking, Alan enters the room, puts the figurine in his pocket and leaves the building. On the street, Alan sees and elderly lady, who is looking at a map. He pushes her, grabs her handbag and runs away. Later, when examining the contents of the bag, Alan does not find anything of value and throws it away. Discuss possible criminal liability of the parties. (Plan - not more than 500 words).
