Discuss the personality descriptors described by Adler and their association with birth order. What are your thoughts about how accurate they may be both in general and with people you know, in your own family of origin; and how this theory relates to a family systems approach.

According to what I've observed this week, the Alderian theory places a strong emphasis on personality and how birth order influences how individuals establish their personalities. Birth order, which includes five positions: "only, oldest, second, middle, and youngest," is said to have an impact on a child's personality and way of life (Maniacci & Sackett-Maniacci, 2019). The individual is shaped by a variety of variables, including family and society, according to theAdlerian theory. As the firstborn in a shared family, birth order has always captured my interest. I believeI'vehad a first-hand encounter with how siblings' relationships are impacted by birth order. Being the oldest, I've always felt responsible for establishing "right" for my younger relatives, and this has influenced who I am now. I can see certain characteristics of my upbringing that align with Adler's theory, such as the fact that "oldest children tend to be perfectionists, become leaders," when I look back on my childhood (Maniacci & Sackett-Maniacci, 2019). Also, according to Maniacci & Sackett-Maniacci (2019), "birth order has been extensively examined and has been found to be a genuine construct of personality development".

Do you think that in this case my family dynamics sort of guided me to take on a leadership role and be a role model for my sibling, or do you think this was an internal responsibility that I felt?
