This discussion relates to the following Course Learning Requirements:

CLR 4 - Critique society's response to crime and criminal behavior CLR 5 - Argue the merits of the field of victimology

Objective of this Discussion:

Identify whether restorative justice has a role within the current climate of policing.

Fordiscussion:

Using examples from the module and or additional sources, identify what you feel would be the most effective model for repairing the harm between police and community as it relates to the LGBTQ2S community, the indigenous community, black community, etc. When posting your supported opinion, be sure to include the following;

• What specific community groups should be involved in the model?
• Identify what types of crimes would be included in the model?
  • Why?

Guidelines

• Post your discussion in the Discussion Forum when your facilitator assigns it. Check the course lessons and weekly schedule for instructions.
• Reply to a minimum of three other classmates' original postings with substance and meaningful responses. Post these early in the discussion period so that others have a chance to reply to your postings.
